12 Booster Club Mission Statement Examples

Your booster club's mission statement should concisely describe why your club exists, what benefit it provides, and who it serves. Once defined, it should be included in the club's bylaws and be published on your club's website.

Defining your booster club's mission will help:

  1. board members understand goals and expectations
  2. parents & volunteers understand how their contributions of time and money will help students
  3. members understand the impact their contributions make
  4. sponsors understand the importance of their contributions
  5. donors understand the impact of their donations

Your booster club's mission statement acts as an elevator pitch that quickly convinces others to embrace your organization and motivate them to donate time and/or money.

Here are 12 examples of booster club mission statements. You can use one for your club, or merge highlights from multiple examples to create your own concise custom mission:

Example #1:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is organized and operated for the charitable purpose of supporting student opportunities at SCHOOL_NAME. We support academic, artistic, athletic, and extra-curricular pursuits throughout the school, and we foster a strong sense of school spirit, community, and pride through the provision of resources and financial assistance.

Example #2:
The purpose of BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is to promote athletics at SCHOOL_NAME in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of the school community. The objectives of the Club are as follows:

  • Develop an organization with an active and involved membership that is concerned with the total athletic program and all of its participants regardless of sex, race, socio-ecomonic status, or chosen sports activity.
  • Promote school spirit and sportsmanship and encourage attendance at all SCHOOL_NAME athletic events.
  • Aid SCHOOL_NAME staff in organizing and staging athletic events and special projects.
  • Aid and support SCHOOL_NAME staff in the areas of sports promotion, publicity, and program development.
  • Provide supplemental financial support for the various athletic activities at SCHOOL_NAME.

Example #3:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME's mission is to foster an environment that inspires athletes, students, coaches, parents, and the community to create a positive atmosphere for all SCHOOL_NAME athletic programs. Our focus is to help build strong moral character and academic excellence in our student athletes by promoting sportsmanship, personal responsibility, teamwork, community involvement, fundraising, and mentoring. We enrich the athletic programs at SCHOOL_NAME by providing financial support through our parent volunteers, members, sponsors, fundraising, and donations.

Example #4:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is a group of parents, with the help of school administrators, whose mission is to enrich the SCHOOL_NAME athletic community by providing financial support for athletic programs. We are dedicated to the continued support of our student athletes and coaching staff. We believe participation in high school athletics benefits everyone and promotes opportunities to build and strengthen relationships among all involved: the student body, coaches, teaching staff, parents, and the community. We strive to support athletic and academic excellence, promote sportsmanship, personal responsibility, school spirit, and team unity, and maintain the history and tradition of excellence for all student athletes at SCHOOL_NAME.

Example #5:
The mission of BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is to continually support the students, directors, and families of SCHOOL_NAME band in their goal to achieve the highest standards of music education and music performance; facilitate the musical enrichment of the student membership of SCHOOL_NAME and its feeder schools; promote the place and value of music in our community and the significant role music plays in the cultural, intellectual, and social lives of our children; and foster fellowship and goodwill among its members and provide its membership with opportunities for personal growth and leadership.

Example #6:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which exists to:

  • Serve and support SCHOOL_NAME choir students, parents, and directors by creating, planning, and implementing an environment of excellence through fundraising, scholarships, hospitality, communication, and volunteerism.
  • Promote music culture in the community through concerts, activities, and outreach.
  • Foster relationships among current and future choir parents, students, teachers, administrators, and the public at large.

Example #7:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME's purpose shall be to support all aspects of sports programs at SCHOOL_NAME. We:

  • build and maintain a structurally sound organization which will help promote the general activities of all SCHOOL_NAME sanctioned sport programs;
  • seek to have parents, teachers, administrators, and the public cooperate in furthering the endeavors of student-athletes and coaches;
  • promote and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of fundraising and event planning, increasing student moral and community relation activities;
  • lend all possible support, both moral and financial, to all sport programs of SCHOOL_NAME;
  • cooperate with those in charge of education and sports to maintain the athletic programs at the most elite level possible.

Example #8:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME exists for the purpose of broadening the involvement of students, parents & guardians, and the school through support for all students activities at SCHOOL_NAME. The booster club works to achieve this through active participation of as many parents and supporters as possible and by working closely with the principal and administration of SCHOOL_NAME as follows:

  • To raise funds to assist all student activities.
  • To foster and promote goodwill and fraternal spirit.
  • To support, promote, and maintain high standards of scholarship, integrity, and good sportsmanship in all activities.
  • To promote and encourage student, and parent/guardian, participation in all school activities, either as an active participant or as a volunteer assistant.
  • To promote and encourage attendance in all school activities by the parents, students, friends, and faculty and staff of SCHOOL_NAME.
  • To assist in holding down expenses by volunteering services.

Example #9:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME's mission is to create an environment that inspires student athletes, coaches, parents, and the community to come together to create a positive and spirited atmosphere for all SCHOOL_NAME athletic programs. We are volunteers who wish to serve and lead by example. We support through fundraising, stand behind strong moral character and good sportsmanship, promote a winning school spirit through athletics, and encourage attendance.

Example #10:
The mission of BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is to:

  • Support athletic and academic excellence in all student athletes.
  • Promote active and involved parent and community leadership.
  • Promote sportsmanship and provide supplementary financial support to all SCHOOL_NAME athletic teams.
  • Maintain the history and tradition of excellence, which exemplifies our student athletes, coaches, trainers and teams.
  • To provide support through promotions and fundraising.

In addition, we will work with administration, teachers, staff, parents, coaches, and student athletes to identify areas of need within the athletic department. In this way we hope to assist in the continued development and support of SCHOOL_NAME's athletic program.

Example #11:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to supporting the athletic programs of SCHOOL_NAME. We strive to promote sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and a strong work ethic both on the field & in the classroom among our student athletes. We provide financial support through monies raised by volunteers to encourage excellence in our athletic programs. We purchase supplies, equipment, and make capital improvements beyond what the school athletic budgets provides.

Example #12:
BOOSTER_CLUB_NAME is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of parents, coaches, and other community members who have an interest in supporting the SCHOOL_NAME athletic program. The three tenets of the Club shall be to: 1) fundraise to support athletic programs, 2) promote school spirit throughout the high school and community at large, and 3) support student athletes to achieve excellence in academics, athletics and sportsmanship. The role of fundraising shall be to financially support facility maintenance, equipment, capital improvements and other items not covered by SCHOOL_NAME funds that will enhance and expand the athletic programs and ensure the safety of all students involved in athletic programs.
